"We recently hired Dave to come and tackle a big weekend project at our church. 1st was optimizing our system to sound its best and 2nd was equipping our team of volunteers to confidently take the seat behind our FOH mixer. Dave knocked it out of the park.

1st - System Optimization

I’ve been around and even mixed on some great systems in large venues and auditoriums. I never thought that our system in our acoustically challenged space would ever sound ‘good’. Boy, was I wrong. Dave used his expertise to hone in the various problem frequencies in our room, and used a technique I’d never seen before to EQ our Microphones in a way that made them sound crisp and natural. The before and after while listening to some high-fidelity audio files BLEW my mind (and the minds of our staff/volunteers).

Our system finally sounded GOOD! 

2nd - Training our Team

As a worship pastor, it’s not just the transferring of information that’s important, but the foundation of the ‘Why’. For our organization, our ‘why’ is to glorify God and point people to him. I couldn’t be happier with how Dave used his previous pastoral experience to foster the foundational element that FOH mixing in the church is an act of worship to God and of service to our congregation. He then used this foundation and gave extremely practical steps to help achieve great quality audio week-in-and-week-out.

I had multiple members of my sound team come up and thank me for bringing Dave in. One of them said, “I’ve never felt more excited to mix sound. Before I was too scared to mess things up, now I can have fun!”
