Performance Checklist for Lighting Systems
A lighting system, including house and stage lights, provides ample light for everyone to see everything as needed and intended.
With this goal in mind, here are some helpful questions to consider for the lighting systems tech check:
- Do all the seats have an even distribution of light from the house lights when on?
- Can the house lights be controlled in zones and/or for dimming to create a variety of atmospheres?
- Are the house lights controlled by the same DMX control system as the stage lights?
- Does the stage lighting system provide appropriate lighting for the entire stage?
- Does the stage lighting system provide good lighting for those in the room and for those watching the stream online from the video recording/streaming system?
- Do the colors match between viewing in the room and viewing online?

- What is my practical view of worship ministry? (What specifically do we do based upon our theology and philosophy of worship ministry?)
- What is my vision for worship ministry?
- What is my mission in developing worship ministry?
- What is my purpose for various facets of worship ministry?
- What is my plan for developing worship ministry?
- How am I developing our worship ministry team?
- What are my most difficult challenges moving forward?
- What are my priorities for the foreseeable future?
- What resources do I have available? (Spiritual support, musical material and mentors, visual content, technical tools, equipment, and training, etc.)
